The 2018 UHS Used Book Sale was a great success!

The UHS PTO Book Sale this past weekend was a great success. The regular sale on Friday and Saturday was very heavily attended, as was the bag sale on Saturday afternoon. We reached a record $50,000 of sales for the event! We wanted to thank the Community for their generous book donations – without the donations we would not be able to offer the wide selection of current as well as truly special one of a kind books that people have come to expect in our sale. Our sale would not have been possible without the huge amount of support that we received from our students. The support we received from our students was phenomenal! They participated in many aspects of the sale and we received many compliments from the Community on how helpful and hardworking they were. Behind the scenes, the High School Custodial and District Maintenance staff worked their magic to get things in place for the sale and support us from the collection of the books through the sale. We also wanted to thank the many parent and alumni volunteers who gave their time at all times – during the day, in the evenings and on the weekends to help get the books ready for the sale and to help run the sale. Many student and adult volunteers signed up for extra shifts or stayed later when they recognized the need due to the larger than expected attendance and this was greatly appreciated. The UHS PTO Book Sale was an immense undertaking and thanks to the students, parents, staff and Community it was a success!

We hope to have your support again next year!

See the "before" and "after" photos below to get an idea of the scope of our sale.
